Hello Ego-sters! Hope you people are feeling great. Who am I kidding. You're all always great. Anyway, SAMANTA will be playing at Gas Haus this Sat 27th May. Do come down if you can. We'll be playing with a great line up of bands. Local Bar Boys, My Squared Circle, Monroe, Mistaken Identity, Murder Her On The Dance Floor. It'll be a fun night. Gig starts at 7pm and there'll be an entry fee of $10 BUT it includes one drink so I guess it's still ok.

Gas Haus is at 114 Middle Road. It's one of the 4 corners opposite the old NAFA building, the new National Library at Bras Basah and the always there Bugis Shopping Centre.

Once again thank you so much to OMS, The Substation & especially to those guys who danced through out the whole entire gig. A good start for a good year.

Event: Superstar Rebel! Featuring GIBRALTAR, THE MODEL LIPSTIQUES, SAMANTA and
FRONTLINE SOUNDSYSTEM. DJ Effen will be spinning the rest of the night away after the bands.
Venue: DXO. It's at Esplande.
Date: Sat. 28th Jan 2006. It's Chinese New Year's Eve.
Time: Doors open whenever. Event starts at 9pm. SAMANTA plays at 10pm.
Entry:$10 include 1 drink before 11pm. After 11pm it's $18 for non-members, $16 for members, includes 2 drinks.
Drinks: Drinks are 1 for 1 from 11pm till 1am. Heniken $40 for bucket of 5. Still Booze Party dudes!!!

Sorry guys who came down to Esplanade on Sat and Tues. Unfortunately for the rain, THAT HASN'T STOPPED SINCE GOD KNOWS WHEN, all our sets got cancelled. But oh well, we had a great time at Stasis 8. Thanks all you crazy people who were moshing like mad. First time ev-Ah! We didn't expect it. We came out and suddenly everyone was on stage with us dancing around. Shout out to Jeremy. He came down all the way to Esplaande some time back to buy our CD. I remember seeing him in the crowd moshing. And to Edle too who was dancing away in front. The rest was a blur. The sweat, the prancing, the photo-taking, the amazing cameramen just going for the shots they need. People taking pictures with Helmi, WHILE he was playing drums. I remember him even posing and playing at the same time.

So anyway. I think our next gig would be at DXO on Chinese New Years' Eve. That's 28th of Jan 2006. Doors open at 8pm I think and we're the 3rd band. There's 4 in total. There's the model Lipstiques and 2 other bands I'm not sure who. Free entry before 10pm. That's all the info we have at the moment. More to come. We've only got a couple of CDs left too (I'm not sure what happened to them but I looked at our stock and I'm like...what the hell happened to the rest?!) going for the usual $10 at gigs. $12 outside gigs. Do get one if you haven't gotten it yet. Cheers.

Hello peeps. A quick update. While driving home at 530am in the morning, it suddenly hit me. Samanta will be pretty crazy busy in the month of January. We'll be doing....

a) A collaboration thingy with friends The Subway Stars on Sat, 7th of Jan 2006 at Esplande Waterfront,
b) Stasis 8 at Substation on Sun, 8th of Jan 2006,
c) A double set at Esplanade Waterfront on Tues, 10th of Jan 2006 and
d) Sembawang Fest on Fri, 2oth of Jan 2006

Crazy man! Will be back with more details soon. In the meantime, while we're working out the NS thingy, we'll also try to debut more new songs at each gig for our up and very slowly<--note coming single releases and a series of gigs with a couple of other friend bands like The Pinholes, The Subway Stars and Sourgrapes to name a few.

In other news, Naz just entered N.S., just when his short film, Wayang, which he and his school mates did for his school's final year project got selected as audience favourite in The Substation's First Take event. It'll be screened on the first tuesday of Dec at 8pm. Which is the 6th! Tomorrow! Come on down and check it out. It's free.
